In addition, please do not judge the Senior hounds as being too old. Adult and Senior dogs are most always house trained, full of love and are just wanting to be given that chance to show you how special they can be. Many of the Senior hounds get over looked and will most likely live out their life at Rescue if not given a chance. Please contact us about additional information on any of the Rescues and consider giving a Senior dog a chance along with the younger ones.

As well as taking great pride in the quality of our grooming services, we also care deeply for the welfare of the dogs that come to visit. Rawhide bones and other edible chews can pose a choking and blockage risk. In fact, this is a much bigger risk than contamination or digestive irritation. If your dog swallows large pieces of rawhide, the rawhide can get stuck in the esophagus or other parts of the digestive tract. We make sure that all our rescues get a medical check, all necessary vaccinations and get spayed/neutered. Ensuring that claws are kept to a safe length is an essential part of grooming.

Since 1987, the non-profit Greyhound Adoption Center (Houndsavers) has rescued, rehabilitated and found loving homes for thousands of greyhounds. For peace of mind and safety of all, House of Hounds has a comprehensive screening process for ALL dogs. Just remember all participants must be spayed/neutered, and pass our temperament screening. When your dog is visiting, please bring their food, treats, and any medication they will be taking during their stay. Please bring only the amount of food that is needed in zip lock baggies, we do not have room to store large plastic totes.

Veterinary care is provided prior to adoption according to the dog’s needs, always including spaying or neutering and a dental. Your dog will have access to leisure where he or she desires in the entire hotel, indoors and out. In the boarding house we have a large play room for them to play and nap in. Our overnight attendants provide round-the-clock supervision and personalized attention that every dog deserves. All of our daycare and overnight guests are temperament tested and fully vaccinated so we know that the cage free environment is right for them.
